Climatic Summary

Climatic Summary
The Climatic Summary provides a summary of the weather location and the weather data used in the simulation.
In the example below, the weather file is based on the La Crosse Municipal Airport in Wisconsin. The file name is called USA_WI_La.Crosse.Muni.AP.726430 in a TMY3 format. The Weather station number is 726430. The local time is 6 hours west of the prime meridian.
Weather station design data can be found at http://ashrae-meteo.info/v2.0/
For heating and cooling degree days, see the 2017 ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals (SI), page 14.12.
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) weather station number matches that found in the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals.

Peaks
The peaks table shows the minimum and maximum outdoor dry bulbs and dew points experienced by the building.
The graph shows a daily summary of the maximum and minimum outdoor air dry bulbs throughout the year.

Design Day Data
The design day data shows the design weather inputs on the Weather tab plus additional information extracted from the weather file. The wind direction is clockwise from due north. Notice that the design dry bulb of 88.8°F is exceeded by the graph above. During the 8760 hour energy analysis, the outdoor air dry bulb reaches around 94°F. Similarly, notice how the minimum outdoor air dry bulb in winter reached as low as -29°F, about 20°F lower than the design heating outdoor dry bulb of -9.3°F. The user should expect the outdoor air conditions in the energy analysis to exceed the typical design conditions.
