Boilers
In this section, you can view, create a new boiler library member, or copy and modify an existing boiler library member. Note you cannot modify or delete a standard TRACE® 3D Plus library member.
For additional information, you may view the EnergyPlus Input Output Reference documentation referenced throughout the sections below.
There are two types of boiler equipment library members to select from, where each type has its own set of equipment curves.

Typical Range: N/A
Min Max: 0 to 1,000,000,000,000,000
Units: hp, kW, W
This numeric field contains the parasitic electric load consumed by an electrical device associated with the boiler whenever the boiler is operating.

Operational Limits
Leaving Hot Water Temperature High Limit
Default: 212°F / 100°C
Typical Range: N/A
Min Max: -1,000,000,000,000,000 to 1,000,000,000,000,000

Curve Variable
Boiler Efficiency Curve Variable
Default: Leaving Temperature
Typical Range: N/A
Min Max: N/A
Units: Entering Temperature, Leaving Temperature
This is the hot water temperature used to evaluate the boiler efficiency curve.
